Yogi

Over the course of more than 4 decades, my practice of yoga and meditation has evolved. After much exploring, the strongest lingering influences are from Insight Meditation, Kripalu Yoga, and a large tool box of healing techniques.

Currently my yoga and meditation practice is centered at home. Gyrotonic movements have been really helpful over the past six years. I sometimes practice several hours a day and have integrated a mindfulness practice into my daily life. Usually I practice in the wee hours, generally yin-ish, Pranically inspired, to counter the yang of construction. Occasionally I will do willful practice (vinyasa, yin, core power, heated yoga, sometimes acroyoga or kaliedscope yoga) in the company of others at yoga studios, during the daylight. Dancing with music is an important part of my Sadhana.

I recently wrote an interpretation of Patanjali’s Yoga sutras by comparing and contrasting a dozen vetted Sanskrit translations.
